Discover How To Choose A Good Dating Affiliate Program

By Thomas Voullemier

As a part of being in a dating affiliate program, your job will be to earn money by advertising their dating site. The dating website is responsible for providing the dating service and maintaining their memberships and will gladly pay you a commission for any new memberships you generate. How much you will make depends on the percentage they agree to pay for each sale and this is different with each company. Be careful though because a few will only pay you after all their expenses are taken out, their net profit. You really want to join a program that will pay you from the price of the membership or from their gross.

Your objective as an affiliate is to send visitors to the dating website that will sign up them up as members. The website will pay you for each new membership that you have generated. How much you are paid is important and there are many choices out on the web so give careful consideration to your choice of a new partnership. It is going to be your work, time and operating capitol so in the end they really need you more than the other way around.

Usually all you have to do to become an affiliate is to join the program by providing them your contact information and agreeing to their conditions and terms. You will then use a link containing your unique ID that will identify you as the affiliate who sends a new customer to them. You advertise the dating site and they pay you when your efforts translate to a paying customer for them, PPS (pay-per-sale).

Some dating affiliate programs offer a PPL (pay-per-lead) payment plan. This is payment for a lead or a person who will sign up of for a trial membership. The payment of this will be much less than for a PPS kind of commission but it has its advantage. To generate a lead, the amount of visitors is much less than is needed to convert the lead to a full membership (sale). So, even though the commission is less, the number of visitors you need to send is less. This makes your advertising dollar stretch further and is a little easier for a beginner.

The PPC (pay-per-click) program is offered by some dating sites. This is a small commission every time a visitor clicks on the dating link or banner you have in your advertising. This will probably mean you get $. 01 per click but it could be as high as $. 10.

No matter which dating affiliate program you choose remember that it is your advertising dollar and your time it will take to generate sales. The commission that you will be offered should equal your investment. When you sign on as an affiliate pay close attention to the terms and conditions that you will be agreeing to uphold.

Look at what you are paid, how you are paid, when you are paid, how much you earn for each sale or click or lead, their membership costs and the volume of customers on their books, the ability to contact them and their customer support, the overall service they provide to their members, their views on spam and how well known they are.

No affiliate program should ask you for money to join, so if they do require you pay them anything, look for another dating affiliate program to join. - 20767
